I occasionally get the chance to meet some wonderful people through my volunteering with the American Cancer Society. Some of those wonderful people just happen to be cancer survivors. A couple of summers ago I met Jen. Some friends of hers and her family put a Relay for Life team together for her while she was battling breast cancer. Since then she has also battled melanoma.Over the past couple of summers I have had the chance to get to know her a little bit better. This last week Jen had to go back to the doctors to have some surgery done... a lump was found under her arm.
I made this box for her to give her a bit of hope during such a scary and crappy time. Thanks to her wonderful daughter for providing me with the photos.
